Urban Putt

1096 South Van Ness Avenue

Located in the heart of San Francisco's Mission district, Urban Putt is the City's first and only indoor miniature golf course. Urban Putt offers guests a fun, only-in-San Francisco experience with top-notch food and drinks, and a fantastical, high-tech 14-hole mini-golf course. Steve Fox-along with a dream team of industrial designers, robotics engineers, welders and artists-has created a technically sophisticated playground for people of all ages, where imagination has free reign and all of the senses are engaged. A vibrant and unique venue, Urban Putt is an equally perfect destination for a sporting round of mini-golf, family outing, sit-down dinner, company party, special event, or drinks with friends.

Urban Putt is housed in an historic Victorian building that had previously sat vacant since 1999, and was a mortuary for many years prior. While preserving many of the building's historic elements, Urban Putt has enlisted the help of local designers, artists and engineers to transform the space to reflect a design concept that is part Jules Vern, part Rube Goldberg, and all imagination.

Urban Putt's full-service restaurant upstairs, UP @ Urban Putt, serves eclectic California comfort cuisine under the leadership of Chef Dane Boryta, who has created a menu for UP that celebrates the American palate with an emphasis on the best organic and locally-sourced ingredients available. Food is available at two bars, one upstairs and one next to the course, and on the mini-golf green as well as at UP.

The bar program at Urban Putt, designed by Colin Carroll, features a creative and refreshing menu of beer and wine, as well as full slate of inventive cocktails.

Looking for a fun activity and great food? You've found the perfect spot at Urban Putt! This 13?-hole mini putt course in SF is a gem -- lots of fun to play and the most creative course I've ever seen. After the game, their bar and restaurant serve plenty of yummy drinks and food. My favorite appetizers are the chicken and waffle skewers and fried olives. The pretzel knots and deviled eggs are also delicious and easy to share. I've organized two alumni events here and the staff and wonderful to work with. Great place!

I loooooovvvveee this place. Honestly, it makes me wish it was my idea to fit an entire mini golf course into a bar sized building. The golf course itself is such good quality. It's very creative and quirky. There is often a line however, you can relax with friends while you wait and drink. It's really a great system and I have always enjoyed my time here. Big props to the people behind this place!

Fun and creative indoor miniature golf with a full bar and restaurant located in the SF Mission district. The golf course is 14 holes and very intimate as it's a small place. Get there early during prime times as the line for golf can get long. Takes about an hour to play with a crowded course so if you plan to have dinner in the restaurant afterwards, I highly recommend running upstairs before playing and making a reservation. The course itself has an SF feel with some cool parts that represent history like the golden fire hydrant. The restaurant serves good food at reasonable prices and the service is awesome.

Super fun! Visited for a company event. Nice upstairs bar space and just a fun concept. The drinks were really good and reasonably priced as well! The little SF touches to the golf course were great.

Very nice place to enjoy as an adult or teen. My teen had fun as he tried to beat his dad and I in miniature golf. $12 a person is really reasonable. Good value for the money.
