About Us:

Beginning its 34th year this season is a dream that was thought of during a family vacation to Tennessee.

The River Coaster was the first ride built and became the nucleus of the family entertainment center in 1979.

The main entrance houses a gift shop, ticketing operations, snack bar, and video game as well as, park offices and a first aid station.

The centerpiece of Sun 'n Fun, "The Hot Spot for Cool Summer Fun," is the 200,000 gallon wave pool which was built in 2000. The original 420-gallon River Coaster mat ride remains one of the most popular water attractions as well as the Blue Banana slide, a two-lane padded body slide that is well-liked by all ages.

For those who want excitement, there is the Challenge and the Twister rides. The Challenger is a high-speed slide that drops the rider and his cart into a pool. The Twister slide is an aerial tub ride that sends the rider through a series of spirals, curves, and a tunnel into the Lazy River.

The Lazy River gives guests a place to just relax and float. Nearby, the giant 200 gallon dumping bucket attracts groups awaiting the next shower time. For the younger water lovers ages 6 and under, the Kiddie Cove has its own versions of water slides, as well as, a water playground area with dumping buckets and a waterfall mushroom.

There is also an 18-hole mini-golf course, with fun, but challenging obstacles. The atmosphere is enhanced by using original Ponca City Street bricks to outline the course and make walkways.

The Kiddie Land dry ride area is for children six and younger as well. It has carousel horses, cars, airplanes and a train. (closed for renovation)

Sun 'n Fun offers Bumper Boats, as well as, an upcoming Go Kart track and Batting Cages. Five picnic pavilions offer amenities for groups. Many companies, reunions, church groups, wedding parties and youth organizations reserve picnic shelters each season. Groups range from as few as 20 to several hundred.

The picnic area has a sand volleyball courts, horseshoes, basketball and cooking grills. Sun 'n Fun is also a great place for birthday parties.

Sun 'n Fun will open Memorial Day weekend through the middle of August. After that all attractions will be open week- ends through Labor Day.
