We dedicate ourselves to 'excellence in everything we do' and strive to provide the highest quality park system, recreational facilities, leisure services, and related social programs for residents of all ages and cultural origins. We focus our efforts to meet these needs through cooperation, sound financial management, and creativity in programming and services. The Skokie Park District has the unique advantage of building on a historical foundation of quality and community satisfaction. The district is committed to being the finest park district on the Illinois north shore.
Park District programs range from the ever-popular fitness classes and canoe trips to dance classes and dog obedience lessons.
In addition to our diverse array of programs and special events, the Park District also offers childcare and preschool opportunities. These services include accredited camps, state-licensed full-day childcare and preschool, and before- and after-school care for grades K-5.
We also offer instructional recreational programming for all age groups, including athletic lessons, leagues and informal gyms, as well as art classes, theatre, and private music lessons.
